| What
is Conduction, Convection, and Infrared Heat? |
Conduction is heat transfer by direct contact,
as in a regular oven.
Convection is the air that circulates the
heat for fast and even cooking.
Infrared is safe radiant heat that heats
objects directly without having to heat the air in between.
The infrared spectrum is divided into three segments by wavelength.
The 'near' and 'middle' infrared rays are hot enough to be
used for cooking foods whereas 'far' infrared is similar to
what the human body radiates. As approximately 80% of the
sun's rays consist of infrared rays and warms the earth from
millions of miles away, the same principle applies to our
Nu-Wave Oven, only on a smaller scale. Restaurants have been
using this heat for years to keep foods warm.

| What
do the recipes and charts mean by the 1" or 4" rack? |
The cooking rack can be reversed to be used at a height of
either 1" or 4".
| What
types of pans can be used in the Nu-Wave? |
Any cooking utensils that can go into a conventional oven
can go into the Nu-Wave.
Safe for use with foil, metals, Pyrex, and even prepared frozen
entree trays.
| What
is the Rated Wattage on the Nu-Wave Oven? |
It's rated at 1500Watts compared to conventional ovens at
3400Watts.
| Does
it create smoke? |
It does not create smoke and no ventilation system is needed.
| How
difficult is the oven to clean? |
All parts easily separate for ease of cleaning and, except
for the power head, can even be put in the dishwasher. What
little splattering it does, stays confined within the dome.
| |
| How
hot will the temperature reach in the Nu-Wave Oven? |
The Nu-Wave will reach the approximate temperature of 350°.
However, because of the triple
cooking power of conduction, convection, and infrared, it
will still cook faster than a conventional oven. (See
Cooking
Chart and Oven
Comparison Chart)

| What
is the difference between the Nu-Wave Oven #20201 and the Nu-Wave
Oven Pro #20301? |
Both models are 1500Watts and use the same triple cooking
power of infrared, convection, and conduction.
#20201 has Dial Controls on the Power Head which are very
easy to use for controlling time and temperature. It can be
programmed for up to 60 minutes at a time.
#20301 has a Digital Control Panel and can be programmed for
up to 2 hours at HI power or up to 9 hrs/99 min. at lower
power levels.
